Our values

We work with people to create organisational change. We establish the core need and deliver creative solutions so our clients get the results they want.

We hold the Bronze Kirkpatrick  Award, which is the worldwide standard for evaluating the effectiveness of training. It considers the value of any type of training, formal or informal, across four levels. Level 1 Reaction evaluates how participants respond to the training. Level 2 Learning measures how much their knowledge has increased. Level 3 Behaviour evaluates how far participants have changed their behaviour, and applied the learning and then level 4 Results, this includes outcomes that the organisation has determined to be good for business, good for the employees, or good for the bottom line.

Our clients value us for our willingness to take on the spikey stuff – you know, the tricky people situations that won’t get solved by sending them on a course.

The ability and desire to understand and meet clients’ requirements and an authenticity rarely found elsewhere. If they can’t deliver they’ll tell you so and probably put you in touch with someone who can.

Kevin Lusher – Deputy HR Director, Dalkia Plc

If we could sum up our work we invite people to think differently so that they act differently.

Enthios started trading in September 2007 and is a private limited company. The organisation began as a result of over 20 years in learning and development and a desire to create change in organisations.
We have 2 full time Directors and a team of Associates; this allows us to be flexible both in our national reach and in the skill sets of our team. Our client base is also national and across many different sectors. We believe that this means we have a very practical and realistic approach to organisational and personal development.
Our head office is in Preston and our associates are based nationally. Meet the team!

Miles Peacock

Who are you?

Someone who is fascinated by trying to understand how people do what they do. When I’m not studying psychology or people I’m enjoying my latest adventure.

What inspires you?

Courage and fortitude in the face of adversity.

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

I recently got bitten on the backside by a mountain sheep dog while walking in the Alps!

Kate Peacock

Who are you?

Definitely a person who lives in the here and now. I will try anything once which means I’m constantly doing things I never intended – is that a good thing?

What inspires you?

People who grasp their situation, have a passion and make life better for themselves and others, regardless of what may get in the way.

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

I once said “Fer fer fer fer Chris Waddle” in a rather tense client meeting (that’s one for all you Fast Show fans) – oops!

Simon Whitehouse

Who are you?

Someone who is continuously searching for the universal theory of everything. In the meantime I make do with TA and anything written by Ralph Stacey, Ronald Heifetz and Arsene Wenger.

What inspires you?

People who excel, at anything. My son, and his resilience.

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

I once had a job searching for Russian submarines in the North Sea and assessing bomb damage in Sarajevo using satellite imagery.

Jo Tolland

Who are you?

Someone who loves to generate enthusiasm, passion and belief in a common purpose and delights in seeing people move from passive resistance to passionate support, whether in the blink of an eye or their own sweet time.

What inspires you?

Wisdom, patience and creativity in the face of adversity.

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

I’m a ‘Grand Designer’ who has just down-sized and I’m now looking for my next plot. Watch this space….

Liz Couchman

Who are you?

I love to be on the phone and helping clients! With a degree in Psychology (because what makes people tick interests me) and a background in Marketing and Sales (because I work well with people) I have been lucky enough to work in different work environments and different sized companies in different parts of the UK (though being from the North am back now based where I feel most at home).

What inspires you?

Connecting with other people and working in an environment where people are passionate about what they do and are prepared to give it their all!

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

I have been really pleased to discover a somewhat hidden talent – of being able to hit clay pigeons more often than not with a Beretta Shotgun.

Sue Raeside

Who are you?

A positive pragmatist who likes things to work. Loads of energy which I love to expend in challenging debate or long walks.

What inspires you?

Physical and psychological resilience.People who climb huge mountains, sail across oceans or run for miles;especially if they raise money for others in the process.

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

I have sung live on bbc radio despite being tone deaf.

Simon Kingsnorth

Who are you?

Started out as a scientist with a curiosity for how things work. Became a sales manager facinated by people and perfromance, gone over to the dark side of human resources, people development, training and organisational development.

What inspires you?

Courage (of any kind except people putting their heads in lions mouths – that’s just stupid!) People saying it as it is and people living out their dreams.

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

Shhhhh – don’t tell anynone….I’m an essex boy turned proud yorkshireman!

Kate Wootton

Who are you?

Energetic, enthusiastic, pragmatic, curious and enquiring.  Someone who is always looking to learn new things. Intrigued as to why people behave the way they do, someone who wants to explore the why.

What inspires you?

People who have little but live life to the full.  Those who want to make a real difference and despite knockbacks, get up and carry on learning from their mistakes.  The power of the sea and nature.

Interesting fact about your life

I once had a ‘number one hit’ record in the Philippines.

Fiona Murphy

Who are you?

Someone who is passionate about people and what makes them tick and who strives, at every opportunity, to turn negatives into positives

What inspires you?

Making a difference, however small. I love to see the light bulbs go on for people either in a group setting or in a 121 coaching session.

Interesting or curious fact about you/your life.

I’m the real life Shirley Valentine who met her love beside a rock on a Greek beach!

Morale has been raised and confidence re-energised resulting in an upsurge in Sales of £9,500 in 12 days and this level has been maintained”
I required telesales training for our Sales team, many of whom have been with the company for a long time. Following a personal recommendation I contacted Kate Peacock at Enthios.
We were given a full day of training on site which was tailored to our needs and very ‘real’. Although I was a little unsure of what to expect the results have been truly amazing and way beyond our expectations!
We have been delighted by the success of the training day. Morale has been raised and confidence re-energised resulting in an upsurge in sales of £9,500 in 12 days and this level has been maintained.

Enthios were successful in being selected to design and deliver a bespoke Leadership Development Programme for our newly formed Mill Maintenance Outsourcing leadership team; this was a challenge and, true to form, Miles and Kate (with some coaching support from Simon) delivered in spades.  They gave generously of their time and worked with us closely to ensure what was delivered met our needs.  Our initially sceptical participants found the programme stimulating, interesting and challenging and the impact of their development has been evident even before the programme finished, causing considerable favourable comment from our customer.  We are absolutely certain that the investment in our people via this programme will reap benefits for years to come and would strongly recommend Enthios to other businesses.

  • Executive coaching in professional and financial services
  • Mentoring entrepreneurs
  • Sales coaching in engineering
  • Business coaching in the tourism and leisure industry

We work one-to-one, often where time is limited, and the person is facing a unique set of circumstances. We provide a focus and momentum in an environment dedicated to that individual. When working with someone we choose a style that is most appropriate to helping them achieve their outcome. It might be coaching, mentoring, education or simply giving feedback.

I really found that doing one to one training was of enormous benefit.

The main areas were:
The training was focused on my needs alone, so it was tailor made, every single session was relevant. I didn’t hold back on my thoughts/ideas like I do in group sessions and there was no time to day dream or lose concentration

Gillian Gomersall, Director NRL Ltd

Typical assignments have included:

  • Cultural Change Programme in manufacturing
  • Executive Development Programme in the retail sector
  • Mediating Board-level conflict
  • Management development in the creative industries sector
  • Leadership & Management Development in financial services

Our work with leaders is founded on two principles

  • Everyone in the organisation has leadership responsibility
  • We are at our most influential when we are authentic; when what we say matches with who we are

I engaged Enthios’ services to work with me around a number of strategic challenges, during a sustained period of rapid growth and expansion for A J Bell.

Throughout our coaching relationship, I found my coach to be honest, astute and insightful. She guided me to view the objectives and challenges I was facing from alternative perspectives, enabling me to work and achieve results in different ways.

Richard S Taylor, Managing Director A J Bell Pensions

Typical assignments have included:

  • Regional Innovation workshops for SMEs
  • Working through barriers to team performance in education
  • Trainer development with the Police Service
  • Consultative selling for technology and media industries
  • Two-tier management development programmes in the housing sector
  • Business-development skills for a charity
  • Team away-day, to celebrate and motivate in the automotive industry

We work with groups in two ways

  • Formal, structured skills training
  • Needs-driven, bespoke facilitated workshops in response to organisational changes, conflict or tougher performance targets
